Friday 30 June 2023 Proposed NEU strike action (5th & 7th July 2023) With one of the main teaching unions (NEU) calling for strike action next week on 5th & 7th July 2023, we can confirm that the school, the school nursery, breakfast and after school club provision will remain fully open to all pupils and children should attend school as normal.

Wednesday 7 December 2022 Scarlet fever and Strep A infection information for parents School has received an update from Derby City Public Health, this includes information on flu cases and a reminder about how to deal with other infections. We will continue to contact parents if your child is feeling unwell and would be grateful for your support in trying to minimise the risk of spreading infections.

Tuesday 19 July 2022 School Closed from 12pm on 19th July 2022 Further to messages sent directly to parents on 18th July 2022, school will be open as usual for all pupils including nursery this morning, Tuesday 19th July 2022. The school will close at 12pm, when all children should be collected from the usual pick-up points. The reason for the school closure is due to the unprecedented extreme heat forecast today, peaking from around midday and lasting all afternoon, and the challenges managing the temperatures inside school to ensure all children safe and well.

Sunday 13 March 2022 Red Nose Day & support for refugees in Ukraine This Friday (18th March 2022) is Red Nose Day. Traditionally, on this day the children wear non-uniform with a £1 donation for the Red Nose charity.This year, with our children, families and local partners seeking to support those displaced by the war in Ukraine we have decided to divide our support as follows.Children can come to school in non-uniform on Friday 18th March and either:- bring a £1 donation for the Red Nose charity;- or donate one of the much needed items for Ukrainian refugees (shown in the flier HERE).Whichever charity you choose to support, it will be gratefully received. Donations can be brought to school on Friday 18th March by your child, with larger donations for Ukraine being brought to the main school foyer entrance by parents. These will then be temporarily stored in the school hall before being collected by the Rotary Club later in the day.TEAMS4U, supported by the Rotary Club, Derby, have ensured that the support for the refugees has been planned
